Well, one night Mark went to hang out with his friend in the City. He writes, “[we went to] the City (that’s what we call San Francisco when we live in the Town, Oakland, Oaktown)”, and saw a “tall, gorgeous blonde” who claimed her name was Mandy. Except over the course of the night it became very clear that her name was not Mandy. The story gets even better.
“As the bar closes, we all go out for a snack, and this Mandy/Allegra person has the audacity to order a side of bacon with a dish of syrup. That was probably when I knew I was in love” And that is how Allegra and Mark began, nearly nine years ago. I met Allegra as we both majored in Marketing Management at business school. I was immediately drawn to her humor, fun personality, quirky food column in the school newspaper, and last but not least, her beautiful aesthetic as she filled her Pinterest boards with visions for her vineyard wedding next year. By the way, I’m so stoked that both my Bay Area weddings next year are in vineyards, they’re just about my favorite thing about California.
With the killer signature sunny weather of the Golden State, I proudly present to you Allegra and Mark’s engagement photographs. It’s the last fully commissioned session I’m blogging from my 2012 season!
We caught one of the most beautiful autumn weekends in San Francisco. With 70-degree blue sky weather, I was beyond stoked to find some quiet places for these shots
There is this very, very beautiful feeling of comfort that I see when I observe the two of them interact. You’ll find them giggling between shots and saying cute things. I sought to catch that
And to be honest, I wish I could have Allegra’s outfit! The lace detail on her dress is fantastic, contrasts beautifully with her turquoise necklace, and she brought some super fun shoes!
Those fuschia pink Kate Spade shoes? I fainted a little when they were revealed =)
By being together, I feel like there is something that makes their worlds and lives complete. Without going into much detail, I think it’s obvious that they have an amazing foundation for years to come
I am so stoked for their wedding next summer, which will be coordinated by Baciami Events! Allegra also introduced me to this cool new blog called Engaged & Inspired, for which she is a writer. It is advice straight from real brides, so check it out!
