Though they were at first a bit shy, it didn’t take long for Sharanya and Vijay to open up in front of the camera. It’s so clear how crazy in love the two are, and how much they care for each other. They are two extremely intelligent, hard working, and good people, they deserve all the happiness life can afford. Their proposal story is so good, I’m going to have Sharanya’s words tell most of it for you (edited for length!).
“It was a Friday afternoon and Vijay had told me the previous night that he is taking me out to dinner. He asked me to dress up since we were going to a fancy place. In the evening Vijay came to my apartment to pick me up in a fancy rental car. He was dressed very nicely in all new clothes! We drove to New York City and went to Columbus Circle. We parked the car and Vijay got out with a large backpack and my big DSLR camera. At that point I said, “we cannot go into a fancy restaurant, dressed like this, with an ugly backpack and a big camera bag.” He said he had valuable items in his backpack he did not feel comfortable leaving it in the car. We had dinner at Landmarc, and at the end of our meal my mom called me. I was confused as to why, but she insisted on talking to me. I went outside the restaurant to talk since the music was pretty loud inside. She started asking me about how things are going at school, how Vijay is, and I said “mom this really isn’t a good time to talk.” She managed to keep me on the phone for a good 15 minutes. When I walked back inside, the entire restaurant was quiet and the music was turned down. It seemed like everyone at the restaurant was staring at me, and when I got to our table there were waitresses holding a banner saying ‘Sharanya Will You Marry Me’ and Vijay was on his knees with a ring. I was shocked! When I got to the table he asked me and I said YES! The whole restaurant was clapping and that’s when I knew that he was setting everything up while I was outside. One of the happiest days of my life :D.”
Thank you Landmarc for letting us come in and take some photos again!
