Jia and Andrew, Engaged! A Providence Engagement Session

I hear you guys, those of you who complained that I put up only one sneak peek of this adorable couple (all my engagement sneak peeks are one picture only!). Who doesn’t want to see more?? Patience, my friends, I have many couples to feature =) At first glance, Jia and Andrew, my in(SCP)ire me couple of the year, can seem pretty quiet and shy, but I don’t think you can really tell from these photos. Beneath that exterior is a couple that has been strongly devoted to each other as loyal friends and partners in life ever since high school. And when you step back and see that, it’s really something, how their lives are completely devoted to each other.

I traveled down to Providence to do the engagement session, since they live nearby. I haven’t been back here for a while, but Providence really is a cute little city. In the summers they have Water Fire at night which is a great way to spend a day trip.

It rained a little before our shoot =) Always a good excuse to bust out a colorful umbrella

Shang’s favorites for engagement sessions: Bright dress. CHECK. Awesome wall. CHECK. Great light? Check too!

Keeping it classy

Naturally cute couples = so easy to photograph. Oh, little factoid – Andrew ran a fever during this shoot!!  Normally I would have rescheduled but our schedules were packed, so he powered through this. Andrew, you’re a trooper

I love all the personal touches Jia brought to the session

These bubbles are quite old – Andrew gave them to Jia on their engagement day. They never opened it

Quick outfit change and…

How can you not be happy with balloons?

Jia told me that if we put a soccer ball in front of Andrew, he’ll be very happy. Sure enough, we did another outfit change into soccer jerseys and played a little ball. A great way to end the day

Their wedding will be in fall of next year, and also in Rhode Island. I can’t wait to meet all their family and friends who I know have been beyond supportive all through this time!
