• Welcome to the website of wedding photographer Saavedra Photography My mission is to empower people through photography to love themselves and confidently see the beauty that I see in them.

Rosie, in(SP)ired in Norcal!

I was able to meet up with my friend Rosie while I was out in the Bay Area (San Francisco + Silicon Valley) visiting startups and venture capitalists as part of the entrepreneurship + venture capital trip sponsored by Booth. Rosie is someone who just views life in a very beautiful manner… she loves good food – and cooks well too! She likes to travel (she is currently in Peru, so jealous!). She is also into photography and pretty things. She has a great earring collection. And she loves California and sun. And like me, she is in business school (and did I mention, we previously worked at the same company?). The sun in California, I gotta say, can’t be beat. And that created this beautiful color and sun-drenched in(SP)iration session

Color! Blue skies!

And I had the extreme luck and honor of having one of my best photog friends, Anna Wu, come help me out! Here she is saving my day by holding the reflector

Thank you thank you Anna so much for taking these behind the scenes photos of me! See the full set on my Facebook fan page

(Sorry Anna I don’t have your nifty logo watermark, hope you’ll forgive me)

Don’t ask what entered my mind to do this one…

I do a limited number of in(SP)iration sessions each year for fabulous, stylish individuals who want to capture their personality and style at a certain time in their lives and truly celebrate it. Beyond just simply portraits, there is an inspirational aspect of the shoot – whether it is a prop, a certain color, or mood to go for, that goes into the planning as well. I really believe in the importance of portraiture as an act of keeping memories but also, self-empowerment.
