• Welcome to the website of wedding photographer Saavedra Photography My mission is to empower people through photography to love themselves and confidently see the beauty that I see in them.

Merry Christmas 2013!

Oh my poor blog, so neglected. Since I technically retired and went back to a corporate job, I haven’t found any time to blog any of the remaining sessions this year, but I thought I’d give you all a little peek into my life so far!

First, I married the love of my life! You can see Emily Ku Photography’s post of our wedding here. We delayed our honeymoon to the coming year due to my work schedule, but I can’t be more excited. If anyone has tips for Switzerland, Paris, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Taipei, sharing is caring! Seriously, email me all your favorite eats!

We did spend a nice day around Socal the day after our wedding, and of course, I had to have my In-n-Out (cellphone pic)

Shoutout to The Knot for featuring some of my work again this year! First up, the awesome Orchids ‘N Blooms is featured in the fall/winter 2013 The Knot

And out on newsstands right now, the Spring/Summer 2013 issue of TheKnot includes an image from a Tower Hill wedding I shot earlier this year as well as an online feature

We quickly settled into NYC, and it was a whirlwind of catching up with friends. We also found some time for date nights in between his busy travel schedule which took him to 21 countries this year

And when he was away to another country, he came back with spoils

I tried to learn how to cook more. Keyword: Tried. Some days I’m up at midnight rushing to cook our meals for the next day so I forget an ingredient… or two..

We hosted some parties and hope to host lots more

I got to enjoy all the beautiful Christmas displays Fifth Avenue had to offer

And I had a great year with many, many friends

I have to say, I’m very lucky =)
