2010 Best Wedding Reception Moments | Boston Wedding Photographer

Once the cake has been cut (or even before that), as the DJ or the band starts up the music, your party is on. This is where memories are made on the dance floor. If it gets good, I may even join you =) This is the second to last best of 2010 wedding post! The last one will feature my favorite bride & groom portraits!

First off… exits are awesome. Especially if you add something to it. Have someone responsible coordinate this such as a wedding coordinator or DJ, especially if you plan on using sparklers

Of course, most receptions in my book have fantastic dances. Either featuring the bride and groom, or spontaneous spotlights from the guests

This boy had Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” totally down

Nicole and Lino dazzled with a highly choreographed number

Family members getting it down

You can also have special programming during your reception – honor a long-time committed couple with an anniversary dance or play the Mexican shoe game

Mostly though, my goal in my photojournalistic capture of the reception is to show everyone having a good time
