Amy and Malik, Married! | A Boston Public Garden Wedding

Intimate, laid back, and full of laughter. On a sunny spring day with all the trees in full bloom, Amy and Malik got married with about forty of their closest family and friends. My no-rain dance paid off, and have we got some gorgeousness on the blog!

Here’s the story behind the ring shot – Malik proposed to Amy while they were vacationing in Roatan, Honduras. He had tied the engagement ring to this blue rock and put it on the ocean floor, and had Amy pick it up

My favorite!

I’d love to see more brides wear sleeves! Take it from Amy and from the Royal Wedding couple across the pond ;)

Amy’s flowers were GORGEOUS… succulents, fiddle heads, ranunculus, calla lillies in bright orange and greens

We were then all treated to an awesome trolley tour of Boston! I’ve never taken ANY of the Boston tours (Duck Boat, Trolley Tour, Super Duck Boat, etc.). Learned stuff I didn’t know! For example, did you know that there was a molasses flood in the North End in 1919?

The reception was held at West on Centre, one of Amy and Malik’s favorite restaurants

Thank you guys so much for having me! I’m so lucky to be able to work with such nice people, I had such a great time =)

Also, thank you Sam for assisting! I think the little girl liked him ;)

Lian Love the photos!
Curious: did the couple get a permit for the ceremony in the park or did they just wing it?

Shang Hi Lian! The couple definitely got a permit, you cannot get married in the garden without one!

Amy Sonricker Lian – We’re city of Boston residents so we just had to apply for a permit (we even had to specify the exact location of the Public Garden that we wanted to use) at the beginning of the year & pay a $50 fee – the fee is $100 if you are a non-Boston resident. You aren’t supposed to have chairs, music, or more than 50 guests, but we snuck in some acoustic guitar music and 2 fold-up camping chairs :)
