Jade and Jorge planned two weddings this year: One in Spain, where Jorge’s family lives, and one in Boston, where Jade’s family lives and where their U.S.-based friends could celebrate with them. Boston University was the perfect intimate place for the second celebration.
They got ready at the beautiful and intimate Hotel Commonwealth which was minutes away from their wedding venue.
I loved Jade’s Priscilla of Boston wedding (now discontinued, sad!)
Yes those are penguin cufflinks! Too cool!
This is the stunning result. Jade, your smile is radiant
Some more veil magic =)
We did all the photos in the vicinity of the Boston University Castle. We were so incredibly lucky that the rain held off until the ceremony
This ringbearer took his job very seriously
What is so amazing about this wedding is that it shows that love is meaningful, no matter when you celebrate it. This great capture by my assistant Sam shows Jade in tears during the vows
This was also an unplugged wedding ceremony. There was such a magical feel in the room as all the guests were truly engaged with the beautiful ceremony at hand and did not have to worry about taking photographs
And likewise, family members including Jade’s mother felt the emotions
Jade’s heritage is Filipina, they participated in a yugal cord ceremony. A cord is draped around the shoulders of the bride and groom in the figure 8, the mathematical symbol of infinity
Everyone held their hands to join in the blessing of the couple
A very happy first dance. They were beaming at each other the entire time
The cake topper is so cute!
Jade’s family is so talented! The father-daughter dance was a great ballroom number with lots of twirls
And Jade’s brothers played! Her older brother’s band, Sugarfoot and the Brass Kickin’ Horns, played for the wedding. Her younger brother had mentioned that it had always been a wish of his to get to play with his older brother, so this was truly a rare occurrence
Thank you Jade and Jorge for the great time I had working with you guys. I think the fact that I couldn’t stop smiling all day really speaks to how wonderful both you and your families and guests are
