Alexis and Hersh, Married! | Napa Valley Wedding

Alexis and Hersh, the dynamic duo, planned an incredibly fun, energetic, and very personal wedding at a private home and winery in the heart of Napa Valley. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day surrounded by so many of their smiling family and friends, not to mention super fun touches that incorporated Hersh’s Indian background and both their love for delicious food. Also, this is the first wedding ever that I’ve photographed that had a wedding pinata!

So much heart and soul went into the prep for this wedding. Alexis and Hersh balanced busy lawyer schedules while DIYing much of their wedding. All the amazing florals were lovingly put together by Alexis’s mother, and I wanted to include more of these prep photos to show how much work it takes to make everything happen

Alexis wore beautiful diamond and pearl jewelry from India

I love it when brides wear veils!

First Looks are pretty awesome already. Hersh and Alexis took it to the next level

I loved working with everyone in the wedding party. They had me smiling all day

Alexis and Hersh are so at ease and comfortable and in love. It sure didn’t hurt we had a wonderful engagement session =)

Children in wedding ceremonies are precious. There were so many cute moments… such as the little ringbearer running down the aisle, and the shy flower girl who bravely smiled

Alexis and Hersh had an unplugged wedding ceremony which allowed everyone to take in the moments of their wedding ceremony without being distracted by electronic devices. Alexis and Hersh attended law school together and asked one of their professors to officiate. There were many funny and tender moments, including the announcement, “…because face it, no one wants to see photographs of you taking photographs”.

There was a wedding pinata in the shape of a cake – all the kids got a chance to try to break it. Ultimately, one wedding guest stepped up to the plate to help everyone out – with a little bit of teasing

And everyone rushed in for some sugar

The amazing wedding cake by Dreams in Sugar Bakery featured elephants as a topper and henna art

The dinner was incredibly delicious and personal. Alexis’s father personally provided Copper River Salmon, and Hersh’s mother brought back the spices from India for the tandoori chicken. These were paired with baby greens, tomato salad, fresh fruit salad, vegetarian ravioli, and an Indian fried treat and chocolate pudding for dessert. The inside joke is that Hersh loves chocolate pudding

Sunset is the best time to photograph, and Alexis and Hersh set aside some extra time for some of my fav photos of the day

Thank you two for such an incredible time and also for a great friendship. Please keep in touch from all the way across the country!
